Anthony Diotaiuto Update
...Diotaiuto is dead not because he was suspected of dealing drugs. He's dead because he owned a legally-registered firearm. Ask yourself, how many drug kingpins -- or any violent criminals, for that matter -- would take the time to register their firearms? In Florida registration requires a significant amount of paperwork, fingerprinting, and a background check? Shouldn't the fact that Diotaiuto registered his gun have tipped police to the fact that he wasn't particularly violent?

Gun owners take note. Owning legal firearms in Florida apparently means that if police ever have reason to search your home, they're bringing the SWAT team, and they're coming in early in the morning, to catch you while you're asleep.
