... As God deals with man, so should businesses deal with man. If we look at God's relationship with humanity throughout redemptive history, we will see that all Persons of the Triune God have a specific role. This is best demonstrated in the book of John, specifically chapters 14 - 17.

* The Father calls the elect through His sovereign redemptive plan and sends His Son while giving glory to the Son.
* The Son is sent by the Father to proclaim the good news and die for our sins. The Son does not do anything without the Father and gives glory to the Father.
* The Spirit waits for the Father and goes when the Son calls, then glorifies the Son while sanctifying the elect.
* The Triune God works as three Persons with diversity in one Godhead with unity.

The primary functions of business--finance, marketing, and operations--play a similar role.

* Finance lays out the plan, then generates the resources for the business to proceed and sends out the marketing department to bring revenue. It also oversees the decision-making and direction of marketing and operations.
* Marketing takes the resources allocated by finance and advertises, sells, and generally markets the product or service provided by operations.
* Operations takes the orders or contracts produced by marketing and delivers the finished product or service.
* All three segments of The Business continue to operate with one another, as they become one unit with many particulars....
